Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico CUSD #3 has a one-to-one school district initiative in grades K-12. Students having trouble connecting at home should follow the instructions here before contacting a staff member.
Families are encouraged to pay for an extended warranty through the district. This warranty covers many things, including accidental damage such as cracked screens. However, the ChromeCare Warranty does NOT cover lost or stolen Chromebooks, or chargers that are damaged, lost or stolen. Please click here to review the ChromeCare Warranty. The cost of this warranty is $15 per school year for elementary students, and $30 per school year for middle school and high school students ($100 maximum per family). Families who choose not to purchase ChromeCare Warranty through the district will be responsible for the cost of repairs. A list of those repair costs is available by clicking here.
Please note that the Chromebooks, as well as lab computers, Chromeboxes, iPads, tablets and laptops, and any other electronic equipment are all district-owned devices. In addition, PLT3.org Google accounts are also property of the school district. Parents/guardians and their students are required to read and sign the district's Acceptable Use Policy each year. Students in violation of this policy will be disciplined accordingly.
